Aside from all the tales of travel, a major theme of my blog has been about escaping the rat race and finding the spark that everyone had when they were in their teens – and had no real responsibilities. I harp on about it to anyone that will listen and quite often people just don’t get it. “Everyone has to have a job. Everyone has to do things they don’t like. My circumstances are different – I can’t do that.”
OK OK, say what you will. But this is how life turns out if you don’t agitate for change.

I LOVE this vid!
Me too… Sums up everything really that I try to explain to people when I talk about what I’m doing.
Adam, I love this! Just saw it. I’m on an early stage, and still not sure if what I am doing right now is what I would love to do for a living, given that it’s a sabbatical for so far 2 months – but for now, it feels good doing it 🙂
@Miss Lai Lai – I am still in the phase of not knowing what I want to do when I grow up. I never have known, but I did work an awful lot of years doing things that I was good at, but didn’t particular enjoy. It doesn’t mean I’ll never do things that I don’t enjoy again — it just means that in the future I will make more of an effort to do things in my life that are fulfilling. Like living in Indonesia and learning Bahasa Indonesia. 🙂
Love it mate. Just stumbled on this today and am really looking forward to devouring what you have up here so far.
